Raya and The Last Dragon            Spoiler Alert – Read at your risk

By Rey Dalmacio Good versus Evil, Dragons, Dark Creatures, Warriors, and Magic are all bundled up in this new Disney Classic.  Available on Disney Plus under the Premier Access it is Directed by Don Hall and Carlos Estrada.  Don was known for Big Hero 6 and Moana.  Carlos has done other films such as Legion and Summertime.  Writers were Qui Nguyen and Adele Lim.  Raya was voiced by Kelly Tran, Sisu voiced by Awkwafina, Boun Issaac Wang, Namaari was Gemma Chan, and Benja, Raya’s Dad, was played by my favorite actor Daniel Dae Kim. This is a 1hr and 47 minutes of pure Disney like no others can do. So the story begins with Benja’s attempt at bringing the inhabitant of ancient Kumandra back together in hopes of reviving the joy and prosperity of an age long gone when Dragons roamed with the creatures of this area.  Of course, man’s greed and jealousy of want and selflessness steps in and brings back the evil called Druuns to the lands once the Dragon stone was cracked by Namaari.  Raya and Namaari started off as friends but it was rouse that Namaari took advantage of and stole the Dragon stone.  During a fight and with the rest of the clans around, the stone was cracked and each clan grabbed a piece of it for their own. The Druuns were once again released into the world and turned creatures into stone with their touch.  Raya’s Dad was turned to stone and soon the rest of the clans fell to this evil. Fast forward several years and we see Raya going in her attempts to find Sisu, the water Dragon who drove the Druuns away five centuries before.  Raya hopes of having Sisu make another stone from which to rid the lands of the Druuns and return all the creatures who have been turned to stone back to their original selves.  The adventure takes Raya, Sisu, and her party of misfit heros through the five lands to recover the stones pieces and hope to revive their loved ones and rid the lands of the Druuns.  Raya and the Last Dragon was a wonderful movie and its graphics were awesome.  So seemless and full of color.  The story line was easy to follow and if you like Mulan or Big Hero 6, your young ones will have a good time.  The procession of the story did seem to be like other Disney films and as predictable as they were, I did find fun watching this new movie.  I would probably give it a 7 out of 10 stars for entertainment, gorgeous animation, and an easy to follow story. This is a kid’s movie and having read some of the early comments, go get a life and probably kids to watch this.  I’m am glad there was very little to no adult innuendos I could find like we’ve seen in Aladdin or other Disney movies which tried to entertain both adults and kids.  I never really cared for that but those were good to me as well. I hope this review was helpful and perhaps we’ll see Raya in the Lands of Disney in the near future.  Stay safe and I’ll be trying to add some memorabilia for this movie on Shopthedisneystore.com.  Aloha! The Mandalorian: Just Watch It

Written by: dryerson      You've heard about this "Star Wars" show on Disney+ called "The Mandalorian." You saw the "Star Wars" movies, but you have never been really excited about them. But people keep talking about this one and your coworkers say you have to watch it. Even your mother is watching it. She keeps saying, "The Baby Yoda is so cute."      Here is everything you need to know before you watch. Some of it might just  help convince you to watch.      "The Mandalorian" is set in the "Star Wars" universe. It takes place just after  "Return of the Jedi," which came out in 1983. The rebels have defeated the  Empire and the galaxy rejoiced. For a while, anyway. See, the "Star Wars" has  always been a "used universe." That means that things are not always shiny and  nice. Some of it is actually pretty rough. To go along with that, many of the  people are pretty rough. And without the Empire, there is a lot of lawlessness in  the galaxy.      Enter "The Mandalorian." He is part of a group of people (well, they are  multiple species) who operate by a strict code of honor. That does not mean  that their morals (as we define them) are not inflexible. The star of this series,  known only as "Mando" works as a bounty hunter.       Part of the Mandalorian culture is that they never remove their helmet or let  anyone else remove it. So actor Pedro Pascal does not show his face. And yet,  you very quickly grow to really like the character. It is a testament to Pascal as  an actor that he is able to do the job only by voice and body movements.       There are all sorts of Easter Eggs and tiny details that tie the show to the  "Star Wars" movies but you do not need to catch them to enjoy the show. It does  make it a more rich experience if you see these things, but you can basically be  a new-comer to "Star Wars" and still enjoy it.       There is a "Baby Yoda." Although Yoda is the name of the little green guy first  seen in "The Empire Strikes Back," we do not actually know the name of his  species. Because the "baby" that appears here does not talk, we still do not  know much about them.       Jon Favreau is behind the series. Yes, he is the guy that was a powerhouse  behind the Marvel MCU ("The Avengers," etc..). He is clearly a "Star Wars" fan  and this series is obviously done with a lot of love and respect for the material.        He is getting some brilliant people to direct episodes. Carl Weathers, Rick  Famuyiwa, and Bryce Dallas Howard are some of those involved. They all put  their personal spin on episodes, while keeping up the overall look and feel of the  series.      It is a western. In many ways, the series tells stories that are straight out  stories from the old west. Yes, there are monsters and spaceships. But when you  strip all that away, you are left with a good story that could be 1860's Arizona.       If you have not watched: Try. This. Show. Out. You will be glad you did.

The Croods: A New Age

Written by: ianmonk  For those of you who watched Disney's, 'The Croods', a few years ago, might be  wondering whether to watch the new sequel? Well, fear not, as 'The Croods: A  New Age' delivers great family fun again. No surprise that Dreamworks have  produced another great animated movie for Disney. Spending $135M to make it  and getting a worldwide box office return of $587M.  All your favorite characters are back and voiced by the same actors. Ryan  Reynolds, Nicholas Cage and Emma Watson all return and put in a great  performance. New voices for this movie include one from Game of Thrones,  Peter Dinklage.  In this movie, the Crood family (still trying to find their "Tomorrow") meet up  with a new family called 'The Bettermans'. As the name suggests, they are  "better men" as they are not neanderthal like the Croods. This creates some  hilarious scenes as the two families try to get on with each other. But, this  would lead to both of them falling out and highlighting their differences. As the  movie reaches its exciting climax they will have to learn to cooperate and find  what really binds them together. This Disney movie provides a lot of family fun with great animation and  colorization. Non-stop humor from a very funny script and brought to life by the  great cast. The movie keeps you engaged throughout the 95 minutes and is  guaranteed family fun as the whole family will find something to enjoy from it.   If your young family members are looking to find some cute Crood toys, as well,  then try this website: Shopthedisneystore.com. The Walking Dead The Disney Fan Store More to Come The Walking Dead The Disney Fan Store More to Come
Why is Disney Frozen Such a Great Movie? written by: sonu_dangee1 When Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee created the Walt Disney Animation film Frozen  in 2013, they probably never expected the film to be as big of a hit as it is. The film  has a domestic box office of $400 million and has a soundtrack that has sold  millions of copies.    The fact is that Disney Frozen is truly a big film. So, why is it that this film is so  popular? Simply put, it is a great film that has many amazing things going for it.  These all prove just how amazing a movie can truly be.    An Impressive Story    A great part of Disney Frozen comes from how the story is made. The film is all  about Anna, the mountaineer Kristoff and his reindeer Sven going out to save their  kingdom from what could be an eternal winter. They go out to find Elsa, the Snow  Queen, in order to control her and stop her prophecy-related spell before the  kingdom can be harmed. In addition, Elsa is also the sister to Anna.    This is an attractive story as it brings a perennial optimist who wants to save the  land with another person with a strong heart to make things right. This includes  finding a way to be forgiving and to help family members understand the  importance of being there for one another rather than to put the world at risk of  harm   The Characters Are Easily Relatable    These characters in Disney Frozen are also worth exploring. Anna is a strong  optimist voiced by Kristen Bell who cares about the world around her. Anna knows  that there is no way how anything could stop her as she goes along to save the  world from pain.    Kristoff, who is voiced by Jonathan Groff, is also a character worth exploring. He  is a character who is adventurous and is never vain. Kristoff and Sven work hard to  do their jobs and are always good to others. It is no surprise that Kirstoff and Sven  are as popular as they are.   Of course, no discussion on the characters is complete without mentioning Elsa and  Olaf. Elsa, who is voiced by Idina Menzel, has a tough streak but she is never harsh  on anyone. She knows her role but deep down inside she's someone who is good-  hearted and will do anything for anyone.    Olaf the snowman, of course, has become a real star in the series. Voiced by Josh  Gad, Olaf is a charming snowman who loves to have fun and is always enjoyable.  Like Anna, Olaf also has a real sense of optimism to him.    The Disney Magic Is Alive    The magic of Disney is something that is truly worth noting. This reflects the way  how emotions are stirred and how people respond to them as they come along. A  great example of this can be seen around the beginning as Elsa and Anna are unable  to play with each other. As they are told that they cannot play with one another, the  audience is impacted on an emotional level. The emotions of pain and sadness that  come from saying goodbye to someone you love are felt here in a way that is easy  for people to relate to. Disney is saying here that it is okay to have feelings like  these because they are truly natural.    Another scene from later comes from the attitudes that the two have when they are  reunited later on in the film. This is a rather emotional scene as well as it focuses  on the emotional aspect of being associated with someone and knowing that there  is always going to be some light at the end of any tunnel.    Plenty of Fun For All    Frozen is also a popular movie thanks to how it is fun for all members of the  family. Frozen features all sorts of great things that all people can enjoy watching  ranging from a fine story to some real suspense and plenty of magic all around. The  fascinating world of Disney Frozen shows that it is a very amazing movie that  really creates something fun to watch.    Of course, Disney Frozen has plenty of attractive characters that people will want  to look up to. The fine family-friendly humor of the film also makes it a hit. These  include some amazing characters that are fun to watch and experience on the big  screen. This sense of enthusiasm has really spread ever since the film was first  released.    Don't Forget the Music   No discussion of Disney Frozen can be complete without talking about the many  songs in the soundtrack. The soundtrack has sold millions of copies and even has  an Oscar to its name. The songs come in many forms including some uplifting and  strong songs that have really been amazing and fine to listen to. From Elsa's  soaring vocals to Olaf and his fun and enthusiasm in his song, it is truly a  soundtrack for all to love.    In short, it is no secret that Frozen has become a big hit for Disney. This film brings  in all sorts of amazing feelings and has some great features to it that make for a  strong story for all to explore.
